Maureen Jesuthasan, MA, LPC
EMDR Therapist
Maureen received her EMDR training from the EMDR Institute, founded by Dr. Francine Shapiro, and provides trauma-focused therapy to adults navigating grief, relational wounds, and difficult life transitions.
Before entering the counseling profession, she spent more than 30 years in management consulting, where she developed a deep understanding of human behavior, interpersonal dynamics, resilience, and change. She holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University.
Maureen utilizes EMDR as a primary modality because she believes unresolved experiences can continue to influence emotions, relationships, and one’s sense of self long after an event has passed. She is passionate about creating a compassionate and respectful space where all forms of trauma are honored without comparison, minimization, or judgment.
Her clinical interests include grief and loss, childhood and relational trauma, abandonment wounds, identity changes, and major life transitions. Maureen approaches each client’s healing process with warmth, grace, and respect for their individual pace, strengths, cultural background, and lived experience.
